Health benefits: Cross-country skiing is one of the best winter calorie-burning activities, so it will really help if weight loss is one of your main goals. Since its high intensity will significantly increase your level of your aerobic fitness, you won’t fatigue as quickly when you return to your summertime sports because your muscles will be better able to deal with the lactic acid that is created. If you do lose weight with this activity, you will also reduce your chances of developing illnesses like cardiovascular disease.



Finally, cross-country skiing provides a fantastic upper-body workout, so you won’t have to worry about performing a separate training session.
